The verb <Daj> is defined as "be interesting". It's not defined as
"interest". Okrand is very careful to describe most stative verbs in TKD as
"be <adjective>", and there is no reason to believe this one example is any
different. The fact that the adjective used in this example is a form of a
transitive verb in English is irrelevant. If Okrand had intended the verb to
be transitive, he would have listed the definition as "interest".
