<lop> really sounds like it's used for happy, fun, party type occasions to
me. Very few Earth funerals fit this description. <jeS> probably works.

charghwI''s suggestion of <Heghpu'wI' naDmeH SoQ> is an excellent
suggestion.

Be aware that <jeS> is defined as "participate", not "participate in", so
there is a very real possibility that you just can't say <nol vIjeS>. A lot
of what we've learned about troublesome verbs lately makes it seem like this
*might* actually work, but it's best to be conservative and assume it
doesn't. Instead, you could say <nolDaq jIjeS> - "I participated at the
funeral", or maybe <nolvaD jIjeS> - "I participated in (for the benefit of)
the funeral".

The rest of this is good.
