Transitive / Intransitive

Ok. Let me see if I have got this straight.

Intransitive - a verb that has subject but no object.
Transitive - a verb that MUST have an object.

so:
jIHob
is being intransitive (subject is me verb is yawn)
'e' neH jIH
is transitive (I want it [refering to the previous topic])

Sorry, I know this is bound to annoy some of you as it will seem second
nature to you, but this is just something I never learnt before.

Thanks

'oghwI'

ps is "learnt" intransitive?
