Warning! You've just run into an English idiom without realizing it. "make
progress" in Klingon just doesn't make much sense (another English idiom).
There are, though, several ways to say this:
jIghoj'a'? - Am I learning?
laHwIj vIDub'a'? - Am I improving my ability?
jItlhetlh'a'? - Am I progressing?
<tlhetlh> is a verb from KGT meaning "progress".
