I have believed that <nuqneH> is what you say when someone else initiates
contact. In the past I have called on the phone, or walked up to someone and
said,
<DaH, qajatlh.> or <yIqIm, qajatlh>, or left <qajatlhnIs> on an answering
machine. qar'a'?
