This was dealt with in a letter from Marc Okrand to Dragon Systems at the
time of the first Klingon CD ROM. It was published in HolQeD but I can't
find it. The beginning of the story is in HolQeD 5:2 p.11. It seems the
grammar is similar to English "Each of the Klingons took his knife."
