Absolutely right. The Dutch verb "willen" does not mark future tense
at all, but simply mean "to want". Exactly analogous to German.
Ik eet = I eat = jISop
Ik wil eten = I want to eat = jISopqang
Ik zal eten = I will eat = [temporal reference to future] jISop
