I might be misremembering the example's words, but the grammar is correct.
It's a command to a pet: "Bite that arm off!"  Literally, it's more like
"Bite that arm; separate it."

The _Power Klingon_ tape gives many examples of using Clipped Klingon in
the context of telling a pet what to do.  The verb prefix isn't used; it
is obvious from the context of the situation that this is a command.
