I'll leave the actual sayings to others (I certainly don't know appropriate
words for marraiges in any language), but I'd like to make a suggestion or
two. One of the best things you can do if someone tells you a phrase is to
learn to pronounce it correctly. Borrow your friend's Klingon Dictionary and
study the first section on pronunciation very carefully. Practice this
sentence of yours a lot. If you are able to join the OnLive Talker program on
the KLI's webpage, you'll be able to speak occasionally with experienced
Klingonists who can help you. I'm usually on Thursdays at 9-10pm Eastern
Time, and Mark Shoulson has office hours posted on the page.
Since this is your best friend, consider actually learning the language! From
experience, most of us on the list can describe for you the frustration of not
having people nearby with whom we can speak in person. Having a friend also
learning the language would be thrilling!
