This is first ammendment stuff, all right. (I am not a lawyer but I have
read the constituion). They do have rights to the words StarTrek and
Klingon and vocabulary of the Language but they will be hard pressed to
control ANY use of a language, constructed or not.
I would be mad too.
The only amiable option they have is to agree to publish the book them
selves, which I might even suggest to them, but there is no way they can
control the langauge or your book.

Emphisizing that this is an educational text is your best battle stratagy
for now.
