Backformation from nenghep, peHghep.
Backformation isn't generally trustworthy, I'm afraid. There are so many
words that look like compounds in so many languages, but that doesn't mean
their elements can occur alone (there's no such word as "ese" meaning
"language" in English, yet we have Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, etc. Nor
does "ology" mean "science", despite biology, entomology, etymology,
philology....)
