On Klingon names

Not that a Klingon would particularly care if it were offensive.

I like this story. "Sophie" is, of course, from the Greek {sophia} "wise".
"Sophia" is also used in English for "wisdom, knowledge" (according to the
OED, specifically Divine Wisdom, frequently personified). In Klingon, {Sov}
is a noun meaning "knowledge." A perfect name... for your friend. {{:-)

Our name - Steven/Stefan - is derived from Greek {stephanos} meaning, I
believe, "crown." I think the KSRP Hamlet used {ta' mIv} "emperor's helmet"
for this. I don't like it, but I couldn't think of an alternative, so I
just made up my own Klingon-sounding name.
