Thought for the Day

I had to go back to the doctor today as the wound on my right thumb is
not healing properly. The doctor thought this was a good excuse to jam
a needle into my thumb and then repeatedly cauterize portions of my
flesh that seemed to annoy her.

During this ordeal I tried to distract myself by practicing a little
Klingon. The following phrase occurred to me, English translation
first, and I mention it here because it's a nice instance of something
sounding much nicer in the English than the Klingon.

If the pain endures, may you endure the pain.
taHchugh 'oy', 'oy' DaSIQjaj.

Just a thought.

Lawrence

PS: of course one of the grammarians will probably point out an error in
this, but let's see how well they do while having their thumbs savaged
in the name of medicine.
