Or how about just:

Assuming, of course, that a Klingon would even offer you a choice and not
simply share what s/he had already prepared. Remember Worf performing the
Klingon Tea Ceremony for Pulasky in "Up the Long Ladder." And then there
was the scene in "Redemption" when the Duras sisters had already taken the
liberty of preparing a pot of Earl Grey for visiting Arbiter of Succession
Picard.
