>Here is brief description of the role-playing game I learned in FL.
>
>The Game was called <maq 'Ip> "The vow proclaims it." but really they
>chose the name because it sounds like "mock up".
>
>Basicly you have at least two players (tho more is better and more fun),
>The Captain of the <maq 'Ip> and the "Game Master" (GM).
>
>The GM sets up a scenerio for the Capt. in which the Capt. must make
>desisions. He must make them in real time to the various bridge offices
>(that is where more people can add to the fun) and he must make them
>according to Klingon values. That would enclude Killing ineffective
>officers, willingly sacrificing your ship in Battle and delivering the
>needed violence while weighing the possible outcomes.
>
>If you have more people you can make them the bridge crew and
>you will add realism to the event by making it all in tlhIngan Hol.
>When I played it there were four participants in all, the GM, the Capt.,
>Helm, and Tacticle.
>
>The nice part of this game is that it involves all the participants so
>it works GREAT when the most inhibited people are put in the
>Capt. Chair.
>
>The game started with a total of only six scripted scenerios but
>once the process of the game became clear the GM quickly
> improvised the situation just to add spice and people were
>creating scenerios on the fly. It was a blast.
>
>The future of the game (for the Florida KLAW Group, at least) is that
>they hope to set up an actual Klingon Bridge with networked computers
>at all the Bridge duty stations.
>
>What we at the next qep'a' can do is takethe next step and do it
>ALL IN KLINGON.
>
>I have no dought that once it catches on atthe qep'a' it can last all
>night.
>
>If youhave any questions aboutthe game let me know.
