I understand that some mailers don't do this automatically, but on a
mailing list like this it is *critical* to attribute quotations properly.
If that means additional effort, either whine at the service provider or
take the effort, but you can't send an unattributed post to a mailing list
with dozens of members saying "you" wrote it and hope that somehow we all
remember who it was.

Apparently he tried with underlining, but you have to remmeber that email
can only be relied upon to send *plain* *seven-bit* *ASCII*. That's
letters, numbers, spaces, punctuation... basically just the stuff printed
on your keys. That's it. No fancy formatting or anything. Sometimes
it'll work, yes, but you can't be certain.
