I recall that Larry Niven used "spinward", "antispinward", "port" and
"starboard" for cardinal directions on the Ringworld.  "Spinward" was
the direction in which the Ringworld spun ("east"), with "port" and
"starboard" defined as to the left and right when facing spinward).  We
have {DIng} for v. "spin", but for the life of me I can't figure how to
construct "spinward".
