The Klingon concept of "honor" isn't necessarily the same as the Terran
concept. For example, to a Klingon, the highest honor is victory, even
if one must lie, or hide, or even cheat, in order to win. However, to
an "honorable" Terran, the ends do not justify the means. Klingons do
not consider survival after capture to be honorable; Terran soldiers are
generally instructed to do almost anything in order to stay alive if
captured. Emotional and societal concepts, even when given the same
name, are often portrayed as having different aspects between cultures
in Star Trek.
