This seems like a good excuse to update the mailing list on the status
of THE GRAMMARIAN'S DESK.
The book is currently in production. It's somewhere in a book
manufacturing plant in Michigan now, completely out of my hands.
Normally, production time runs about 4-5 weeks. However, this time of
year has a way of slowing things down tremendously, what with people
expecting to get the holidays off from work and so forth. As such, it
would surprise me if the books arrived before the end of 1996. I do
expect them promptly into the new year.
Once I have reassurance from the manufacturer that they haven't hit any
surprise snags (Terran technology being unreliable and all) ~mark will
add them to the KLI's merchant page and I will post an announcement here
about their availability.
Two versions will be available:
The first of these is a standard paperback (same general dimensions as
TKD, though a bit thinner). List price is $11, but we're looking into a
way to give KLI members a break on the price, possibly by including a
coupon in the December issue of HolQeD. More news on that as it
develops.
The second version will be a hardbound book limited to approximately 100
copies, each copy personally signed by Captain Krankor himself. These
won't be available as soon as the paperbacks because I need to first get
them to Krankor for his signing, etc. Price of this edition will be $40
All prices slightly higher to buyers outside the US to cover additional
shipping costs.
