They're at least as bad in Klingon. I'll remove the inappropriately
redundant possessive, and play with interpretations:
{HaqwI' bang pegh HoD ghaH}
{pegh} can be a verb, and {ghaH} a pronoun:
"The captain's him/her keeps the surgeon's loved one a secret."
{pegh} can be a noun, and {ghaH} a "to be" verb:
"He/she is the captain of the secret of the loved one of the surgeon."
{pegh} can be a verb used adjectivally:
"He/she is the captain of the secret loved one of the surgeon."
It's got an awful lot of ambiguity -- I certainly wouldn't label this a
particularly "wieldy" sentence. I'm looking forward to finding out the
intent of the original author. How about it, ~Doq? We can try to come
up with a somewhat more straighforward way to express the thought.
