 Just a semi-random comment - I was struck by the resemblance
 between "Picard" the way Patrick Stewart pronounces it and the
 {tlhIngan Hol} word {pIqaD}, the {tlhIngan Hol} writing system.
 Do you think that Klingons make jokes about "Jean-Luc
 Alphabet"?

 If you're thinking of the one that just became head of the
 NAACP, it's "Mfume", supposedly pronounced "oom-foomay". No
 way. I've heard him pronounce it. He really does pronounce
 the MF combo without sticking a leading vowel on. To me, it's
 no harder than the initial TL sound in some {tlhIngan Hol}
 words.
