If I were going to map "upload" and "downlod" to {lab} and {lI'}, I'd
do it the other way around. "Download" and "upload" have less to do
with direction of transfer than with the originator of the action. If
the recipient originates the transfer, it's a download; if the sender
originates the transfer, it's an upload. This means that an upload is
usually transmitting data away, and a download is usually transmitting
data to.
