 That's my point exactly. Since it doesn't fit klingon phonetics, why 
is it so common? I* believe* I even heard it on one of the tapes 
(though I can't be sure; Qap-la' and Qa-pla' can sound quite similar 
when rushed). But I hesitate to say that without checking (no doubt 
this will come back to haunt me).
