Greetings,
New to the list and wanted to try out a few translations of phrases.
1. Hung qorDu for 'Hung Family' or 'House of Hung' (where Hung is the
family name).
2. lurDech Suv for the equivalent of 'martial art or 'fighting tradition'
3. Couldn't find a word for ax so I invented; ghormeH vaj (knife for breaking)
Would have preferred 'knife for splitting' but no verb 'to split'.
Maybe ghormeH vaj'ugh to give the idea of the greater weight of an ax but
it seems a long and unwieldy word for a simple weapon.
With combinations like lurDech Suv and ghormeH vaj can I combine the phrase into
one word?
Also, is there a list of new vocabulary since the dictionary was printed?
I know there are vocab words sprinkled throughout Holqed back issues but have
they been compiled in any one place?
Thanks,
