I've gotten a lot of excellent feedback from Krankor on this story,so here it
is once again. I'm encouraging all to read it, as I'd like to have more
suggestions for improvements on clarity and expressiveness. This will be my
first submission to the Klingon Writing project briefly mentioned in HolQeD
2:3.
Some points on this story should be made clear first. This is the story
behind the story. You will notice that I did not use the Federation standard
"William Tell" transliteration of the character's name. This is because this
story is not really the William Tell Terrans are generally familiar with. It
was adapted into the Klingon language shortly after Klingons and Terrans
established contact. Since that time, the Klingons have distorted and
Klingonized the plot. For instance, in this version, Tell's son dies at the
end.
The passage below is one abridged version of the story that has made its way
