Watch it.  Warning bells when you see "-vIS".  "-vIS" always goes withg
"-taH".  If you think of the suffix as "-taHvIS", all crunched together,
you won't make this error.

Now, for the meaning...

"ratlh" might be better than "ba'".  How about "majaqmo'": "because we are
bold, we stay..."  or even maratlhlaH, "we can stay".  Note that this does
change the meaning.
