Different people have different ways they prefer to learn a language. Me,
I always want to know the syntax first. But many, perhaps most, people
prefer to learn vocabulary first. The current school of thought in language
teaching is to start with canned phrases, then move to individual words and
meanings, and then cover the rules for putting the words together.
As has been noted here many times, TKD is a reference, and it does not make a
very good tutorial . . . are there still course materials available online?
