Well, Okrand doesn't tell us what these kinds of animals are.
Period. Sorry, but that's it. He is the only one who can assign
them to particular species.

Or "Flying ear", which considering that this refers to the flap
of skin and not the hearing organ, gives one quite the image to
ponder.
