As I remember it, Kruge's manner of communication was quite
simple and direct. He grabbed his soldier's disruptor by the
barrel and shoved it downward. That's a lot simpler than:

nuHlIj yItaHmoH.

And it is less likely to be misunderstood to mean, "Cause your
weapon to endure!" resulting in a vulnerable moment when your
entire crew turns in unison to say:

nuqjatlh?

An opportunistic enemy might choose such a time to wipe out
half your away team while they still had that puzzled look on
their faces. Face it, {taH} is a prime candidate for most
useless word in the Klingon vocabulary.
