But in the episode where Worf rescues the Klingon children
from the Romulan POW colony, he tells them the story of
Kahless and his brother. Worf DISTINCTLY says that Kahless
wept because his brother threw their father's sword into
the sea, and because the sword was all that Kahless had left
of his father. Kahless's tears flowed into the sea, and
after a time, the water rose, bearing the sword back onto
the shore. The children listening to this story dispute
whether Kahless's tears caused the tide to come in, but
they do not have any trouble believing that he shed real
tears.
I don't remember the exact text of the story, but here is
