A recent message reiterated the source of +pu', a perfect example of
Okrand-style retcon/retrofitting. The source of +Du' was noted as being
absent--but a comment inserted about a *Du' meaning pair at some OHK
(Old High Klingon/Okrand's Hidden Klingon) age.
This vexed me until I reread an Arabic text I had. Arabic (like Indo-
European) once had dual *and* plural number, but still uses dual case
for body parts. Seems then like a lifted feature, huh?
And even worse, doesn't +Du' seem vaguely suggestive of *DU*al?
Also, +mey isn't that far from more, in German, *MEH*r.

Aside: I`ve only a few examples of remaining dual case forms in English:
the dual indicating `and` and `both`, and the triplet set of
`at`/`between`/`among` a singular/dual/plural locative set. Anyone have
others? (*PLEASE* discuss this with me by E-mail!! <[email protected]>)
BTW, possibly a form like X Y jeDaq could indicate between X and Y?
