I'm assuming that between the recent problems with my e-mail
system and the censor's censures, the German original of
this didn't get posted. Peh. There's nothing like a good
patina of scholarly German to lend corroborative detail to
an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative. Without it,
my hands are tied. But I really do want to make nice, so
