Re: On a more humerous note (some may not think of this as funny)

Shane MiQogh ([email protected])

Personally i think Klingon si unique enough just by being OVS and having probably been one of the first languages made by 1 person alone. I find that this language is often discouraged, because it is of star trek. The displayment of acronyms actually makes it look a little more practical for those who think it's all just a bunch of jibberish. It's bad enough that so few (compared to the general population) like star trek to begin with, but people who (for fun) would learn klingon are more likely to be from that group, and further more to add to the pain many of them are adults, and many adults think it's hard enough to learn anything "because you can't teach an old dog new tricks" as they say. To make it a little more like other languages (just little things like this) would help people see that it's not as difficult as it seems. My prime objective is to make it seem a little more easy to the public so maybe a few more people will be intrested in joining since we'd thus point out
it's not as hard as it's made out to be.

chomISmoHtaHqu'. tlhIngan Hol wIle'Ha'moH DaneHbej'a'? wISaghHa'moH
'e' Dachupbej'a'? Do you really want to strip Klingon of its
uniqueness? Are you really suggesting that we should make it look
*less* serious?
