To be perfectly blunt, my concerns are fundamentally
economic: I can't justify to myself spending the
money for travel and lodging on what is at bottom
a hobby for me. I was able to attend the opening
banquet one year just because we happened to be
visiting my in-laws in New Jersey at the same time,
so it was only a matter of a (relatively) short drive.
OTOH, this year I had schedule conflicts too: my
daughter and I are in a community theater production
of Beauty and the Beast this weekend.
