For those interested in "purpose nouns", see the article by Will
Martin: "When {?meH} clauses modify nouns in Klingon" (HQ 7:3 [Sept.
1998]). Examples in canon:

DevmeH paq "guide[book]" TKW

vutmeH 'un "(flat-bottomed) pot for food preparation" KGT

ghojmeH taj "boy's knife (knife for learning)" KCD

QongmeH Duj "sleeper ship" S15

Qapchu'meH 'aqroS chuq "Maximum Effective Range" BOP

{'oS} "represent" is generally used for definitions. E.g.

  "coordinates" 'oS mu' <Quv>
The word {Quv} means "coordinates". (QeS on this List)

Examples from canon:

   toDuj 'oS rol
A beard is a symbol of courage. TKW

   qorDu'Daj tuq 'oS Ha'quj'e' tuQbogh wo'rIv
The sash that Worf wears is a symbol of his family's house. S20

   yay 'oS bey
This yell is victorious in nature... S31
