Never used in canon.

This may not be an actual rank; cf. the discussion of {mangHom} "cadet":

A student may be described as a {mangHom} (cadet), but {mangHom} is
not an official title. One should not say, for example, {qImlaq
   mangHom} (Cadet K'mlak). [KGT 53]

If officers {yaS} start their careers as a {mangHom} before becoming an
ensign {lagh}, it's possible that enlisted men {QaS} start theirs as a
{ghuv} before becoming a crewman {beq} -- assuming that {ghuv} even refers
to the military.

The verb is {muvmoH} "recruit" -- "cause to join" (i.e. {muv} "join
[physically]).

On the List, you may also see *{chu'wI'} used for "novice, newbie, tyro,
newcomer", etc.
