Re: marrying

That's awfully convoluted. We already have {mub} "be legal" and {Hat} "be
illegal" -- thus, {puq Hat}. Something that's "illegal" is not necessarily
criminal (cf. {HeS}), merely not officially recognized in law: an illegal
contract can not be enforced in the courts, for example.

Assuming of course that Klingons particularly care about such legal
niceties; they may be more interested in which child is the eldest son,
legitimate or no. Interestingly, there is no known word for "bastard".
Lursa and B'Etor even sponsored their brother's "illegitimate" son Toral (?)
as Duras' successor to his position on the High Council, apparently
inheriting his claim for leadership of that body as well. The fact that
Toral was genetically a son of Duras (they submitted DNA evidence to prove
it) mattered more than whether or not his father was married to his mother,
whoever that was. (The sisters had to dig up Toral - a boy they could
control - because as women they could not serve on the High Council themselves.)
