Not sure... It's shown up a few times.

FWIW, in Huntsville (at the Star Trek 30th anniversary celebration), the
panel with Marc Okrand was actually with him and Dan Curry(?), who designs
the costumes and stuff for the Klingons and other aliens.  He had the
original metal betleH with him, the one actually used (in "show" situation;
when they actually fight they use rubber ones and add in clanging sound
effects).  He had a rubber "mekleth" (that's how he pronounced it, even as
bat'telh or whatever the Paramount spelling is is called a "batleth"), and
showed some of the moves for it.  He says it's part of a move on Dorn's
part to use smaller and smaller knives (including a very small one he's
used in a few episodes which has no other name than "Worf's knife") to
defeat enemies with bigger weapons and thus look cooler.

AFAIK, there is no official spelling for the name of the weapon, sorry.
