Some call it a trefoil, though a trefoil doesn't look anything like it.
Some call it a tristella, which can be etymologized as "three-leg".
I've heard it referred to as a "heraldic caltrop", but that presumes
that it has an invisible fourth point sticking out the back, which we
have never seen and in fact explicitly did *not* see in the trophy from
the bat'telh tournament on Forcas III.

*I* just call it the Symbol of the Klingon Empire, or {Degh} for short.
