More precisely, Klingon pronouns can function as the verb "to be" in two
well-defined cases:
1) to be a member of a set: "THEY-ARE Vulcan," "SHE-IS my wife."
2) to be at a place: "I-AM in my quarters."

See TKD section 6.3, pp 67-68.

(Someone recently attempted to expand this to include other kinds of "to be."
The attempt was successfully suppressed.)
