Hi, the other day I tried to translate a review of a Wimbledon tennis match
into Klingon - that shows how much of a boring life I have :)
I couldn't tell you why I did it, practice probably!?! Anyway, can someone
have a look at it for me and help me get it right.
Oh, BTW If I had bothered to translate the title it would be clear that the
players are female - in Klingon it is hard to tell.
Before anyone starts shouting - I have marked the word ~Set (I thought it
was reasonable enough to leave as is).
Kimiko Date QapmeH batlh ghaH SuvmoH Meike Babel
may'vetlhmo' gholDaj wejDIch reH Date
~SetDaq wa'DICh 'oHpu' los-vagh 'ach toDujDaj polpu' ghaH
'ej ~SetvetlhDaq Qappu'
ghaH luSaHqu'pu' ghom'a'pu' 'ach Qatlhpu'
ghaH jey Babel chaw'Qo'pu' 'ej parHa'wI'pu' belmeH
~SetDaq cha'DIch Soch-loS jeypu'ghaH
Hmm, I'm sure it was longer than that.. anyway, what I could really use
help in is the syntax and also if I want to say in the second something
do I put the Daq on the ordinal or on the noun?
Oh and in the second set Date actually won in the Tie-Break 7-4 but I had
no idea what to use to mean Tie-Break.
Thanks anyway...
