A Scrabble Game for the List

Since Lawrence is the only one to respond to me about playing a
private game of Scrabble via E-mail, I propose that we play on a
list wide basis. Everyone is invited to attempt to make a play
and I will randomly select the actual play to be made from all the
proposals. Each time I will post the board as it stands and the
contents of all four players set of tiles available and whose turn
it is. You all will then, via private E-mail, submit your proposed
play. Unlike actual Scrabble, you all may use any dictionary
or reference you want in formulating your play. I want as many
people as possible to participate. Even if you are just begining
to learn the language, try as you get time, to make a word. The
practice at making the word will help you learn vocabulary.

The rules are:

1. Words must be horizontal of vertical, no diagonal words.
2. Each word must connect with a word already on the board.
3. Words may be formed by adding letters to existing words
    on the board.
4. The two blank tiles (see letter distribution below), are
wild cards, that is they may be used to represent any
    letter.
5. Your play may be to exchange tiles from your hand with
tiles still in the remaining pool of tiles.
6. A 50 point bonus will be awarded for using all 7 tiles
    in one turn.
7. When submitting a word, you must give a definition of the
word in english, and a sentence using the word in tlhIngan
Hol and you must translate the sentence into English.
8. The board is shown below. The abbreviations are for

9. When playing a word, submit the location of the beginning and end
of the proposed word. (I'll show you with the first word).
10. Here is the distribution we will use.

    S 3 2

    tlh 1 10
    u 6 1
    v 3 1
    w 2 4
    y 2 4
blank 2 0 (it will be shown as "xxx")

11. Each turn will last three days. (give or take a day)

12. Each turn I will post all the proposed plays and the board
as it will appear. I will also post the contents of all
the players racks. In theory, you should not base your play
on the contents of the opponents racks. That would not be
    honorable.
13. I will keep a running tally of the score for each person that
submits a word, even if that word is not the randomly select
one that is used on the board. This way there is a personal
incentive to do well. These scores will not be posted as a
normal course, but I will probably post the top three or so
    each turn.
14. These rules are subject to change if you all have a better
proposal, but I plan on starting the game under these rules
    later today.
