This recasting provides a nice contrast, but the beginning seems unnecessarily
verbose to me. The English is
"Who I am is not important - that I have them is."
The first sentence doesn't seem to me to need any more than
potlhbe' pongwIj.
Although I struggled for some time with the second part, and the best I could
come up with was
potlhqu'bej qama'pu'wIj.
which doesn't quite convey the intended meaning. I like your recasting . . .
