ghItlhpu' janSIy, jatlh:
> Can you think of any syllables with high counts of possible use/meaning? Suffixes and slang are acceptable.

The ones with the highest counts I can think of are {ta'} and {mo'}, each with four. Though for both, three of those senses are clearly related: for {ta'}, the senses of "accomplish", "accomplishment", and "v7 accomplished" are semantically related, where for {mo'} it is "n5 because", "v9 because of", and "motive, reason (slang)". For that reason I have to confess (pardon the pun) a particular liking for {DIS}, for which none of the three potential meanings ("cave", "year", "to confess") seem to be related.

{ta'} is also added to by several words in which it forms a final syllable, thus adding potentially more confusion, as with {lIngta'} "lingta": those two syllables also form {lIngta'} "X has produced (Y)", {lIng ta'} "the emperor produces it", {lIng ta'} "the accomplishment produces it".

QeS
