Re: [Tlhingan-hol] FW: Google Search in Klingon

As I've said before, most of these one-word labels only mean something in English because we use systems that use them, and as soon as we're faced with a new social network or web portal, we have to learn new ones. So it's not as important that Klingon labels be perfect as that they be standard. We learn the interface once in Klingon, and then if we're really lucky the standardization allows us to evade the English labels and go straight to understandable Klingon.

I know I'm still a newbie, but I would think wanI'mey would be a good way to say "news". I've always felt the term "news" really just means the most current "events" or "occurences", and it seems pretty direct. As an aside, I set my Facebook page to Klingon, and I really don't like the way they label "events" (in the sense of upcomming parties, or meetings, etc) as wanI'mey, so perhaps it's just my own bias that I want to see the term used differently :)

I'm cleaning up the Google Search pages in Klingon. Some of the newer strings have not been given Klingon translations, while some of the older translations are very poor (or vandalised), or deprecated due to newly discovered vocabulary (e.g., <mIllogh> for "image" rather than <nagh beQ>).

Since Google is influential, it would be nice to standardise on a reasonably decent set of computer terminology using our current best knowledge of Klingon that others can use as a template for their own translation projects.

How would you translate the following terms? I've divided them into two sections, terms from the main search page, and terms from the advanced search page. I've also provided links to the current English and Klingon versions of those pages for reference.
