{tlhe'} "turn" has never been used in canon so we don't even know if it's transitive or intransitive.
It's just a guess, but it might help thinking:a) Regarding the pun in {yuvtlhe'}, it looks like MO was thinking of the transitive form ("press and turn" the lid)
b) The other word we know is {DIng}, which is also close to "turn". Do we have any examples for this one?
With this thinking, it seems to me that you {tlhe'} something to make it {DIng}.
BTW, don't forget {jIr}, which is intransitive.
