As far as we know the pIQaD used by Paramount was never mapped to any sounds. So by your
explanation you could not use it in a movie because the symbols in word form would not refer to
sounds.
The pIQaD that us in the KLI use, which has been mapped to sounds, is a different set of symbols
than the Paramount set. Very similar, yes, but not the same.
