From TKW, we have {bortaS nIvqu' 'oH bortaS'e'} "revenge is the best 
revenge", which shows the suffix {-qu'} can be used where English would use 
a superlative adjective (like "best", "biggest", "nearest"...).

I would have put it as {jIHDaq Hop(-qu') Sumqu'bogh vengHom 'e' vIHar} "I 
believed that the village which was nearest was (very) distant".
