Good idea. I hadn't considered ordinal numbers:
qaSDI' Hoch jar wejDIch, motlh chovnatlh chu' lab tlhIngan Hol yejHaD.
When(ever) every third month occurs, the KLI usually sends out a new issue.
I like it. And you can drop {-taH} which is probably over-kill with
{motlh} anyway. In fact, you don't need any aspect suffix at all. We have
several examples of a repetitive - or at least a general - statement, where
{-DI'} could also be translated "whenever":
matay'DI' vIHtaHbogh bIQ rur mu'qaDmey
Between us, curses run like water. PK
("When we are together..."
DopDaq qul yIchenmoH QobDI' ghu'
Set fire on the side when there is danger. PK
("... when the situation is dangerous")
bomDI' 'IwwIj qaqaw
The memory of you sings in my blood. TKW
("When my blood sings...")
bISovbejbe'DI' tImer
When in doubt, surprise them. TKW
("when you really don't know...")t
may'Daq jaHDI' SuvwI' juppu'Daj lonbe'
When a warrior goes to a battle, he does not abandon his friends. TKW
Adding {pu'} would probably imply a specific occasion. E.g. our single
example of {-pu'DI'}:
'uQ wISoppu'DI' maja'chuq
We will talk after dinner. PK
("When we have eaten [the] dinner..."}
