Oh. Grammer obviously is no Klingonist, but I think he would have done well
enough with official spelling, considering how well he read the phonetic
transcription. Apparently nobody told him to read it *as if it were English*,
because he read that transcription phonetically and accurately.
I didn't realize that the closed captions might be taken from the script, or
that the phonetic transcription would be incorporated into the script. That
means there was probably *never* an official spelling of the lines. As soon as
MO came up with the text it went straight into phonetic transcription
(although you can't get much more phonetic than official spelling).
